FCSO Investigating Firearm Discharge on Black Locust Drive

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FREDERICK, Md. (March 26, 2025) – On March 25, 2025, at approximately 2:39 p.m., deputies from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) responded to reports of a firearm discharge in the 5200 block of Black Locust Drive in Frederick, Maryland.
Upon arrival, deputies located evidence confirming a firearm had been discharged in the area. During the initial investigation, several individuals were detained for further questioning. The individuals were later released without charges. No victims have been identified at this time.
Preliminary findings suggest this was a targeted, isolated incident involving individuals known to one another. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
