FCSO Arrests Suspect in Road Rage Incident Involving Firearm

FREDERICK, Md. (March 13, 2025) – On March 11, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies responded to a weapons complaint in the area of Ballenger Creek Pike and English Muffin Way.


The victim reported that during a road rage incident, a male suspect brandished a firearm before fleeing the scene. Deputies immediately responded and, with the help of a detailed suspect and vehicle description provided by the victim, quickly located the suspect’s vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted, and during the investigation, a loaded handgun was recovered.


Deputies arrested and charged the suspect, Kamren Trey Morgan, 36, of Frederick, with the following:


-         Assault – First Degree

-         Assault – Second Degree

-         Reckless Endangerment

-         Wear, Carry, Transport Handgun

-         Handgun on Person

-         Handgun in Vehicle

 

Morgan is currently being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
