FREDERICK, Md. (October 17, 2024) – On October 16, 2024, at approximately, 8:24 PM Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputies and Fire and Rescue responded to a reported traffic collision involving a motorcycle and passenger vehicle on Route 85 at Greenfield Road.
When deputies arrived, they found the operator of the motorcycle, Cody Nicholas-Reed Sensenig, age 20, of Tuscarora, unconscious. Lifesaving efforts by EMS personnel on the scene were unsuccessful and Mr. Sensenig was pronounced deceased on scene.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Cynthia Edna Lytle, age 61, of Adamstown was operating the passenger car traveling northbound on Buckeystown Pike. Mr. Sensenig was traveling southbound on Buckeystown Pike when Ms. Lytle attempted to turn left onto Greenfield Road and collided with Mr. Sensenig’s motorcycle.
Mr. Sensenig was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. The accident is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit and remains ongoing. If anyone has any information about this collision, please contact DFC Lucente at 301-600-1046.
